This solution offers great value to merchants because it incorporates both the gateway and the merchant account all-in-one. The Helcim Gateway cannot be used with any other merchant account provider.
This depends on how you will be using the gateway. If you are using a third-party shopping cart that is hosted, the gateway will be built-in directly into the shopping cart's settings. All you will need to do is enter your merchant ID and token ID into the configurations. If you are using a compatible open-source shopping cart that requires a payment module, some basic understanding of how to copy files on the server's appropriate folders will be required.
If you wish to have the payments directly on your website through your own custom checkout page, a web programmer proficient in a scripting language such as PHP or ASP.NET is required to integrate the HTTP-POST communication between your website and the Helcim Gateway.
