Processing a Pre-authorization

If you need to ensure that the transaction amount is available on the card, you can run a pre-authorization. This does not actually charge the card, but ensures that you can capture the funds for up to 7 days later. To do so:


1) Click "Credit Card" on the blue menu on the left

2) From the drop down menu, select "Auth Only"

3) Card Account Data: Enter the full credit card number (no dashes or spaces)

4) Click "Submit" You will now be brought to a new screen, where you will need to enter the information that is in red.


All other information is optional, and can be used for your reference.


1) Account Data: Will be pre-filled with the card number

2) Expiration Date: Enter the expiration date, no spaces or dashes (MMYY)

3) Amount: Enter the amount with a decimal place (Ex. $1.00)

4) CVV Indicator: If you have the CVV (3 digits on back of card) select "Present" from the drop down If CVV is not present, select "Bypassed"

5) CVV2: Enter the 3 digit code When you are ready to capture the funds:


1) Click "Current Batches" on the blue menu on the left

2) From the drop down menu, select "Auth"

3) Click on the transaction's credit card number under the "Card Data" column (highlighted in blue)

4) Scroll down and click "Capture"
