Security Settings

On this page, you can see and modify your security settings.

(1) The Two-Factor IP Restriction allows you to set up a specific IP address that can be used to log into My Account. If you would like to set up the IP Restriction, select ACTIVE and indicate allowed IP address.

NOTE: If you are using the Helcim Commerce Mobile app, please use Two - Factor Mobile Phone (below). Using an IP restriction with the mobile app will cause an error as mobile phones use Dynamic IP addresses.

(2) The Two-Factor Mobile Phone verification, when set on ACTIVE, will send a text message with a PIN number that a user needs to enter in order to log in. Keep in mind that the PIN will be sent out only when the user logs in using a different IP than the last time they logged in.

***PLEASE NOTE: The two-factor verification system is created to prevent an unauthorized user from logging in, as they are extremely unlikely able to provide the two factors (password and PIN sent by text to your mobile phone) required for access. We strongly recommend that you take advantage of the system and protect your information and prevent fraud.

(3) The security PIN is entered here. This is the PIN that you will have to provide to Helcim staff every time when enquiring about your account. The PIN should be at least 4 digits long and you may change it as many times as you like.  Every user can have their own security PIN.

***PLEASE NOTE: You must protect your PIN as it can be used to access your account information. If you suspect that your PIN has been compromised, please change it immediately. 

(4) In this section, you can see the most recent account access log. 

(5) You can change your login password by clicking on the Change Your Password button on the top right-hand corner. 

(6) Merchants will be required to change their Helcim My Account password every 90 days.
