Helcim Fee Saver is a tool to navigate the regulations behind pass-on credit card processing fees and uses the right method based on region and card brand. With Helcim Fee Saver, you can enjoy no fee credit card processing with ease, cutting costs without having to negotiate with payment processors.
Online Helcim Fee Saver is a feature similar to traditional convenience fees. Usually, convenience fees are either a fixed amount (Visa) or a set percentage (Mastercard, other card brands) charged to a customer for providing an alternate form of payment method. Online Helcim Fee Saver is a fixed-fee for all card-brands whenever a merchant sends an invoice, payment request, or when Helcim payments is integrated with a website.
Online Fee Saver requires merchants to be eligible for ACH payments. In-PersonFee Saver via the Smart Terminal does not require ACH however it is not available to merchants in Connecticut, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, and Quebec.
Helcim merchants can simply toggle it on in their merchant account settings. Once activated, the fees are automatically passed on to customers when they pay via credit card machine or online. Helcim Fee Saver helps you achieve the cheapest credit card processing fees possible (zero) without the hassle of extensive paperwork.
When customers select credit card payments, they'll be notified of an extra fee. This fee will be displayed separately on their invoice and receipt. It is also essential to include proper disclosures and signage when Helcim Fee Saver is enabled and to comply with local laws on surcharging and convenience fees.
Adding Fee Saver to a transaction does not mean the fee is mandatory. Customers can choose to pay with ACH payments, debit cards, or cash which does not include an additional fee.
If you don’t wish to apply the fee to a particular transaction you can toggle Fee Saver off before sending it to your customer.
Helcim Fee Saver is applied on the total transaction amount after taxes.
