Due to the high number of applications we receive we're not able to respond to everyone, but we do encourage you to apply again if you see another position that interests you.
We'll start most processes with a quick video interview to learn more about you and answer any immediate questions that you might have. This isn't a recruiter interview, you'll actually meet with either the Manager or one of your potential team members.
From there most positions require the completion of a challenge related to the role, for Developer roles you'll be invited into the office to work through the challenge with members of our Development Team. Other departments will issue take home challenges that you can work on in your own time.
Finally we hold an in-person interview with key team members you would be working with. Remember this is your chance to interview us too! We encourage you to come to the interview with any questions you would like us to answer for you.
Vacation at Helcim starts at three weeks plus additional time off in December to rest and recharge.
To help launch our team members into this phase of family life we have some additional benefits in place including salary top for the birthing parents and a bonding break for non-birthing parents.

At Helcim, we want to welcome you to the team and give you the knowledge you need to succeed. You'll most likely be joined by other new Helcim members who are also starting their career journey with us, together you'll go though our two week onboarding program as you learn more about our industry and your new position on the team. New team members join their managers and close team members for a first day lunch to give them an opportunity to socialize and ask questions outside of the more formal training sessions. The first few weeks can feel overwhelming, but everyone at Helcim is here to help support you as you go through the process.
Helcim HQ is located in the Eau Claire neighborhood in downtown Calgary. We're right next to the river valley with access to lots of pathways, restaurants, coffee shops, and transit options. Team members get to work by foot, bike, rollerblades, bus or CTrain, and car.
