Some providers require their merchants to fill out cumbersome forms and paperwork in order to cancel their contracts. Helcim is here to help! Our Merchant Success team can help guide you through any paperwork required to cancel your existing contract as well as migrate your data over.

Absolutely! Many merchants are able to get their cancellation fee waived by contesting their poor service quality experience or the increasing fees. For Canadian merchants, we recommend reading this article on the Code of Conduct, which significantly restricts most processors from charging cancellation fees.

We usually need between 5 to 10 business days, but in some instances it can take up to 30 days to be completed. But, since Helcim has no monthly or sign up fees you can make the switch before canceling your current provider so there are no interruptions to your service.

You can absolutely switch to Helcim at any time and benefit from Helcim's low rates. As part of our Merchant Buyout program, we will reimburse you up to $500 in free processing credits when you make the switch, however, any cancellation fee over this amount will not be covered by Helcim. We hope that the $500 in addition to our low processing fees will help reduce your overall payment processing costs.

To qualify, you must be switching from another payment processor and have either purchased equipment recently, or have early termination fees in your current contract. Once you've signed up for Helcim, you can redeem the credit by logging into your account, going to Help > Talk to Us > Submit a Ticket, and uploading your equipment receipt or contract showing the cancellation fee.
